The Pentagon loses a Strike Eagle over Isfahan and the first casualty is the briefing room's relationship with arithmetic. A shoulder-fired missile knocking down an F-15E at altitude has the aerodynamic plausibility of a pub dart bringing down a 747 — but we're meant to nod along because the press release arrived in a serif font. The Spectator's sniffing around the edges, which is what happens when the official story has more holes than the airframe.
