Roberts-Smith vows to clear name the Federal Court already looked at

Ben Roberts-Smith has broken his silence since being charged with war crimes, pledging to fight on despite the Federal Court's earlier findings against him in his defamation case.

The Federal Court already had a go at clearing his name and came back with findings that would make a butcher wince. Now he's charged criminally and the line is still 'fight until the end' — mate, that's not a legal strategy, that's a mortgage on public sympathy the bank stopped honouring three years ago. Somewhere a defamation lawyer is still counting his billables.
